If you have previously used a 360 controller or you are using Windows 8 or above, you can skip that installation step. As you’ll note, you’ll need to install the Microsoft 360 Driver if you’ve never used a 360 controller on Windows. This driver works by latching onto the Xbox 360 controller emulation system that’s available as an add-on in Windows 7 or newer. Thanks in advance for anything you can offer. In a follow-up to the Randocity article How to pair your PS4 controller wirelessly, this article is an extension to explain how to pair a DualShock 4 controller to Windows via Bluetooth. I keep getting results that aren't even closely related to what I'm actually looking for. Is there any resources out there for that? I've been searching, but I don't know how to phrase the search properly. ![]() I feel like I'm going to have to go into the xml file and go through line by line and rewrite it. Still have the issue with the PC version of the game not differentiating between a pressed button vs a held down button. I've played around with a couple of different remappers and those don't seem to be helping either. So I'm getting a lot of undesired results, like boosting either before or after switching FA on or off, or switching nightvision on or off. The game on my PC is not recognizing the difference between momentarily pressing a button vs holding down a button and using in combo with another button. But also that the controller relies on button combos to perform ship control functions, (e,g., FA Off = circle+R1, Headlight/Nightvision = right arrow pad + circle, Supercruise = triangle + up arrow pad, etc). I think the issue is probably that it's a ps4 controller and not x-box. I'm still having trouble getting a ps4 controller to work on pc. Has anybody run into this and have a workaround? Another thing is when I remap the control to match how it was in ps4, the PC is adding a third control to be pushed, and sometimes those third buttons are kb buttons (like SPACE, L-ALT, R-CTRL). To the PC, pushing the button is pushing the button, regardless if you're pushing another control at the same time. PC doesn't seem to recognize the hold down button part. The problem is on ps4 (it has to be the same on x-box), you hold down the buttons (triangle, square, circle, and x) while pressing another control (direction pad or R&L pads) to control certain functions of the ship. Remapping the controller schema is pretty straight forward.or at least it should be. When I look at control presets, it's not at all laid out how it is in on ps4. ED is recognizing my ps4 dual shock controller as an option. I'm much more accustomed to using the ps4 controller than m&kb, so I thought I could set up my ps4 controller to use on PC. ![]() I decided to migrate my ps4 profile to PC, since I play that character a lot more. ![]()
